Since we drink a lot of wine, we thought this would be a great item to have to prolong the shelf life of opened bottles. They came with no instructions at all and not a clue as to how to use them. They have been trying to figure out how to use them but can't see any improvement in the quality of the wine in the bottles we are using them in. While they weren't expensive I definately cannot say they were worth buying since we have no clue how or if they even work.

Only one out of 4 didnt work very well, but the ones that did work created a vaccum seal. Overall a good product. Great to have.

The Vacu Vin really does keep wine fresh and it only takes seconds to use. I gave a pump and my extra stoppers to my son, thinking I would never use more than 1 stopper at a time but ended up ordering the extra set. Another benefit beside keeping wine from turning to vinegar is that you can lay bottles on their side and thay never leak as they often do with a reinserted cork.
